Rift Mage Builds - Rift Soul Trees

So I've been leveling my new character (I chose mage). I've spent about 15 hours played time and I'm already 36! Thanks Xerxes Rift Mastery Guide! Ok so anyways I've been looking at the mage soul builds. I'm super excited to try out some of these soul builds with max points available (just need to hit level 50!)

Check this out... a mage can be a healer in Rift! I've never been played an MMO which had this option of play style for the mage class. If you haven't yet looked up the soul trees available for your class you should! You might be surprised at the rolls available to you in Rift. Rift Soul Trees

If your looking  for the best Mage build for Utility and healing I would try a combination of the Chloromancer Soul Tree as well as the Dominator Soul Tree! I've been playing around with a combination of these two soul trees for the mage class in Rift and I have noticed a serious boost in my performance. This is not a mage build I would recommend for leveling up however.

Choosing A Rift Class | What to think about?

I was up all night last night researching the different souls you can choose for the four basic rift classes. This really helped me out! I didn't know that Rift tailored to any kind of battle cleric type class. I really can't wait to start my new character now.

If you haven't already taken a look at all of the Rift Soul Trees you really need to! I think you, like me, will be surprised at what some of the classes can do with the right Soul tree.  You might also think about looking at this Rift Classes Guide. It points out some interesting things about each of the classes if you aren't as familiar with others.

Starting a new character in Rift can be super exciting because you can choose an entirely different leveling path and see even more content!

Changing My Rift Professions to Make More Gold

I just recently decided to change my professions to all gathering professions. That means I'm picking up butchering, foraging, and mining. The reason I decided to do this was because after trying to skill up my crafting professions and not being able to sell the items I was making from them I decided I was just wasting money.

You really should consider doing this if you are low on gold. especialy when you are starting a new new character. It really only takes a few hours per skill if you have the right guide.

I started using this Rift Crafting Guide. It has some really great tips on skilling up and their Rift Mining Guide was the most complete I could find on the internet. It has really been hard to find good guides on the internet. 

New!!! Rift Foraging Guide! Must Read!

I found this great new guide on Rift Foraging today. If you are thinking about picking up any professions in Rift you should definitely get at least one gathering profession. I currently am apothecary so I use the foraging skill a lot to gain apothecary materials and also raw materials to sell in the auction house.

Rift Rogue Tanking | Don't Try This At Home

Check out this great video of a Rift Rogue Tanking! Amazing! For those looking to play the rogue class you shouldn't think tanking is really part of your roll.

With special gear and the right build you may be able to pull off the moves in this video. Tanking as a rogue is dificult in Rift and you should make sure you have some really good gear before attempting it.

Rift Official Trailer Video | Planes of Telara | Must See

I just wanted to share this with you all. I came across the Official Trailer Video for Rift: Planes of Telara on YouTube. This video was release way back in December but it is still gaining hits.

I have really been hoping the Rift player base would increase as time went on. We seem to be losing a lot of people to WoW these days. I think Rift has a lot more potential as a game really.

Why Buy a Rift Leveling Guide? | Is it worth it?

Recently I've been working a TON of over time. I haven't been able to play rift and just about everyone in my guild and my RL friends included are now ahead of me :(. I decided to invest in a Rift leveling guide.

I looked through a of rift leveling guides before I actualy found one I liked. It combined a rift leveling guide with a bunch of other rift guides like pvp and spec guides. I really needed this information! Not only did it help me level faster in Rift, it helped me do more damage in Rift.

In one weekend I managed to level to 50 AND get caught up a bit on gear. My guildies were amazed at my quick progress. lol I didn't tell anyone I actually bought a rift leveling guide. They would have thought I was nuts!

Even if you have a level 50 rift character already, there are a ton of benefits to rift powerleveling another toon.
I mean think about it. You could get another set of professions, you'll already have some gold in rift so you can help your next toon out. With a rift leveling guide and a twinked out toon, you'd be lvl 50 in no time.
